When we moved into the apartment here in Virginia a piece of me missed our backyard in Clayton, NC where we could look out of our living room window and see nothing but creation. Living in the apartment we don't have that particular view, but I do love the river birch outside the kitchen window.

About a month ago the kids and I were playing by the "big rock" and discovered the beginning of a path. Always up for an adventure, we followed along and found the trail leads through the woods, often alongside a creek, and encircles the apartment complex.

Was it hard to keep Zoe out of that water? Our lab was drawn to water and whenever she saw it, she jumped right in!
ReplyDeleteShe REALLY wanted to go for the geese! She has such a sweetness about her and wants to please us, so she did obey...but I could tell there was a war going on in that black noggin of hers!
