June MRI

On Thursday, June 23rd, Lydia and I Ioaded up the Tundra and headed  for our Johnston County vacation home. (On a side note: our home has been for sale since October 2010 when we relocated to the Richmond area for Willie's job opportunity ~  sure hope it's not our vacation home for much longer!)

It was nice to sleep in our comfy bed again.

 just us girls . . .

Lydia packs her own bag when we travel.

I didn't bother to check it back in Virginia.

This is what I saw when I opened her suitcase . . .

Looks like Lydia was planning on having a little Bible study. :)

The next morning my sweet little sister, Shelly, came to ride with us to Chapel Hill.
Took a few pics with the help of the self-timer feature before we departed.

Had a late breakfast/early lunch at Cafe' Carolina  before her appointment.
Their ham and cheese sweet potato biscuit is de-lish!

Then we were UNC bound!

Diana and I worked together  at PCMH
when I was a nurse in Greenville.
Love seeing her when we go to the clinic.

Beads of Courage
log of events

Every bead tells
the story of Lydia's journey
since the discovery of the tumor.

The next day Lydia was able to spend some time with her Clayton friends
~ Emma and Regan~

We covet your prayers.

The MRI was labeled as "stable"
although the scan showed evidence of tumor slowly growing into the 4th ventricle.

We continue to trust our Heavenly Father to guide us as we walk this unknown path.

We will walk by faith.
