Being home and seeing her things has not been as hard as we anticipated.
Knowing He has given her a much better place
~ her room and things scattered about are just things.
Things she no longer needs.
Today we started sifting through her things.
Found this just a little bit ago.

| Notice the date. She did this 4 months before she left for Home. |
She had colored the outside of the book
and written this on the inner cover.
Funny though,
the rest of the book was left blank. ;)
New beginning for our baby byrd....
This is true hope.
Hope that does not disappoint.
HOPE does not put us to shame,
because God’s love
has been poured into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit
who has been given to us.

This makes me smile :) I know she's so happy right now. You've all been on my heart and mind all day today. So glad that the same One that is holding her right now is also comforting you :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! What an awesome message and testimony she left for us. Actually, you all have an amazing testimony and story to share. I know Lydia is having a ball with Jesus right now. The party is still going on as they welcome her home. We have and will continue to keep you all in our prayers.

I Pray For All Of You That GOD WIll Continue To Comfort You In The Loss Of Your Little Angel!! Lydia Sure Has Paved A Way For All Of Us Who Have Been Left Behind!! How Courageous She Was!! And I Know That She Must Be Up There In Heaven's Garden Looking Down On Us Saying...See I Told You So...Jesus Is Here!! Heaven Is My Most Favorite Place & I Will Be Waiting For You All!! Bless You All In Jesus' Love!!
ReplyDeleteyour family is still on my heart and mind today... praying...
ReplyDeleteI am sure this is only the beginning of the "continued" testimony of Lydia...there is no telling the treasures you will find that will bring a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart, knowing she is in Heaven with Jesus. She is right where she always dreamed of being, her favorite place...and that is such a beautiful thing. God bless you all! <3
ReplyDeleteYour sweet little Byrd has found a place of rest for her feet. (Gen. 8:8-12) There remains a rest for the people of God, and we, too, shall enter into His rest very soon. It is evident the Comforter is abiding with you as in your words, "it has not been as hard as we anticipated".
ReplyDeleteThis alone, is a great testimony to the power of God's presence with you during your most difficult hours. Many will be amazed by this, giving you the opportunity to allow God's light to shine even brighter and to tell them of the hope that you have inside... just as David when his servants said, "What thing is this that thou has done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread." And he said, "While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live? But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I SHALL GO TO HIM, but he shall not return to me." (II Sam 12:21-23)
And we know that we also will go to be in that beautiful place, Heaven, which God has prepared for all who love Him. I've got a beautiful feeling that the Lord is coming soon! Praise God! I love reading your writings. They are such a blessing to me each time. You are being used in such a great way for the glory of God.
I was also thinking, I would love to buy a new T-Shirt with one of her "Heaven" sayings and this bird!
ReplyDeleteI know God intended for us to meet this past Thursday and I thank you for coming after me to introduce yourself. I have prayed for you and your family daily since and will continue to pray. I pray for His peace and perfect love to be felt especially when the "miss" is most obvious.
ReplyDeleteI had put off viewing your blog, but I had to know more about the beautiful soul whose earth cloths were resting next to Riley's. I am happy to know that the two are perfectly similar and now perfectly whole in His care.
I am blessed to have met you - thank you again for coming after me and introducing yourself. If ever you just need to talk please feel free to call.
In God's Love, Kelly
I have prayed for your family and have been blessed by the glimpse of Lydia and her faith and by your faith. Love exudes from these pages and I thank you for sharing. You can mark me as another whose life, heart and faith have been touched by Lydia.
