Sam is 4!

Sam is now 4 years old!

His birthday was on Monday, but we practically celebrated all weekend.

The celebration started at the homeschool conference....

Luke's holding a cow heart, Sam's holding a sheep heart.

Luke grabbing Sam's leg with a robot.

This is the 13 year old who built the robot.
Smart boy.

Luke takes a turn blowing out the candles.

He's having a ball!

Let's play ball!

Sam taking a drive...
Zoe does this weird thing when Sam drives around in his car.
She gets in front of or bites at the front tire, like she's trying to stop the car.
Not sure if she's playing or trying to protect Sam from his wild driving.

Sam was the given the opportunity to plan his actual birthday day.  We started the day with a trip to the YMCA; he and Luke went to their gym class, I hit the treadmill.  Then we journeyed to Target and Sam spent some of his birthday money.  He bought a snorkel set and a plastic yellow duck.  He chose a McDonald's cheeseburger happy meal for lunch and an afternoon at the pool.  We went out to dinner at "Glory Days" and he ate yet another cheeseburger and topped it off with a birthday sundae! (I forgot my camera to capture some of the moments, but so enjoyed soaking them in with my momma-memory.)

"Yay, I'm four!"

Remembering last year...

Got a special message from my little sister, Shelly.  Lydia's marker has been placed at her spot.  We plan to go soon to see it.

(This is the template design, not the stone marker itself.)

  3. For the little boy who so often smells like a cheeseburger ... two cheeseburgers in one day is most definitely appropriate! We love him so much (all of you actually).

Grateful for a wonderful weekend for you guys <3 Tell Nonny, my birthday is next month ... and I <3 Captain America ;)

    The video was precious.

I didn't realize how much Luke sounds like you until I watched this video.

  8. Hello Stacey,

I continue to lift you up as you walk this journey. I remember so well the today we saw Jordan's marker for the first time. It rocked us (my husband and son, Burton..11 years old then) to the core. Nothing could really prepare me for it but God quickly reminded me that this was not really Jordan...just his shell. He had flown away and left this behind. I only say this to prepare you if that is possible. The love of God and your sweet family will be the rock you lean on.

    Always lifting you up,

    Millie Morris
