Then we sealed it with a kiss...
Oh, the blessing of spending my days with this man!
Sharing life,
Growing marital bonds through good and bad times.
I held a bouquet of peonies
as I walked the aisle
that hot, North Carolina Spring morning.
Our new backyard bloomed a sweet surprise this Spring...
Peonies.
♡
Life with him is so sweet.

Thankful for my man.
Thankful for 11 years.
Happy Anniversary, honey.
I love you.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?
And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—
a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiates 4:9-12

Happy Anniversary, you love Byrds! :) Enjoyed reminiscing w/ you thru your pics... seems like we should have known each other way back then, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI discovered that the peony symbolizes "a happy life, happy marriage, good health and prosperity." Looks like the good Lord is continuing to shine down on your family!! Happy belated Anniversary to you two! By the way, you guys really do look exactly the same...beautiful as always! May our wonderful God continue to bless you and your marriage for countless years to come. May tomorrow always be happier and sweeter than today is, and may your love for one another continue to bloom...just as those beautiful peonies have! <3

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Lydia in person but I have always followed your story and know of your family through a friend. I'm sure you get this type of thing all the time but I just wanted to tell you that you and your family have been an inspiration to me. Your little Lydia inspired me and my family to give our lives to Christ. I have a 7 year old daughter and a 5 month old daughter. I have seen your joys and sorrows laid out for all the world to see. Lydia's incredible courage and strong faith in Him told me that "Heaven is for real". I said to myself, "If this sweet child, through all of her pain, can have such a strong love for Jesus, it must be worth it." My own "mama heart" aches for you. You are such an inspiration and have such faith, it is just incredible to me. If people were Angels you would surely be one.
